The course is about providing students with the necessary knowledge and skills to distinguish the main phytopathological causes through the recognition of the characteristic symptoms and signs of diseases on cultivated plants. Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to recognize the basic symptoms and signs of parasitic and non-parasitic plant diseases, isolate from diseased plants and identify the most important species by preparing simple microscopic preparations phytopathogenic fungi, assess the effects of diseases on the quality and quantity of agricultural production and collect appropriate samples of diseased plants to send to phytopathological laboratories and prepare an appropriate accompanying information form.
