α) The student is entitled to be examined in all courses included in the course registration-declaration made at the beginning of each semester (winter or spring) after the end of the respective semester. In addition, if she has not successfully completed any or all of these courses in the two examination periods mentioned above, she is entitled to take them in the September resit. Students who have not submitted a course registration-declaration or have submitted a late course registration-declaration are not eligible to take the examinations and any marks submitted in error by the lecturer cannot be validated by the Departmental Secretariat.

b) In the event that a student fails or fails to participate in the course examinations both in the examination period of the respective semester (winter or spring) and in the September re-examination period, the following shall apply:

i) if it is a compulsory course, he/she is obliged to re-register for it in a subsequent semester, provided that the conditions of par. 5c of this Article, and shall again acquire the right to attend and take that course.

(ii) if it is an elective course, he/she shall be obliged to register for it in a subsequent semester, provided that the conditions of par. 5c of this Article, and shall again acquire the right to attend and take that course, or may choose and enrol in another elective course instead, in a subsequent semester, provided that the conditions of paragraph 5c of this Article are met. 5c of this Article, and shall now acquire the right to attend and take the examination in the course he/she has chosen.

c) By decision of the Assembly of the Department, which took into account article 31, par. 1 of the Law. 4452/2017, the students who have completed the regular course of study (degree students), which is equal to the minimum number of semesters necessary for the award of the degree, according to the indicative curriculum, may take examinations in the examination period of the winter and spring semesters of each academic year in all the courses they are required to take, regardless of whether they are taught in the winter or spring semester, provided that they have previously submitted an online declaration for the courses they wish to take. 

d) The final written examination of the laboratory part of the course, if any, is held in the last week of the course. In the September re-examination period, students may take the laboratory part of courses, if there is a final written examination, which are included in the course registration-declaration made at the beginning of each semester (winter or spring) of the academic year.

ε) The duration of the examinations is three (3) weeks for each examination period. The dates of the examination periods shall be determined by the Senate and shall be indicated in the academic calendar. By decision of the Assembly of the Department, the exact dates of the beginning and end of examination periods shall be determined according to the needs of the Department and the detailed schedule of each examination period shall be announced in time by the Department Secretariat. For the conduct of the examinations, the conditions set out in the Internal Regulations of the PPA approved by the Assembly of the Department are followed.
