Course Description

The course is the basic introductory course to the concepts of Agricultural Entomology and Zoology, which is the subject of Plant Protection. The course aims to introduce students to the basic concepts of morphology, systematics and biology of animal pests of cultivated plants (insects, mites, nematodes and other animal pests). It also refers to introductory concepts in the ways of dealing with the infestations of harmful animal pests on cultivated plants. The objective of the course is to enable the student to identify the pests and beneficial organisms of crops and to select the appropriate method of control.
