Course Description

The course provides students with the necessary knowledge, information and experience that will lead to the correct mechanical preparation of the soil, the successful sowing and the rational mechanization of plant protection, harvesting and collection techniques, the maximization of the quantity and quality of the produced product in combination with the minimization of the consumed energy. Basic mechanical concepts taught are machine elements, bolt couplings, roller screws, transmission elements, shafts, spindles, spindles ,bearings etc. Also taught is the use of the agricultural tractor in conjunction with the machinery it can support, the general principles of agricultural machinery and the work that can be produced. The basic premise is the connection of the farm tractor with the various machinery to apply precision farming and the proper adjustments of all the basic farm machinery so that there is the least loss during harvesting.
