The course covers the management of animal pests of large-scale crops, floriculture and horticultural crops. It aims to study the main animal pests of the above crops, mainly insects, but also mites, nematodes and other animal pests. It concerns the identification of species, the description of symptoms, the study of the biology and ecology of these organisms and ways of dealing with them. It aims to help students understand the severity of infestations in the crop and the possibility of choosing the most appropriate actions to reduce populations of pest species.
