Με μεγάλη επιτυχία ολοκληρώθηκε στην Καλαμάτα (13–16 Οκτωβρίου 2025) το X International Symposium on New Ornamental Crops!
Το συνέδριο διοργανώθηκε από το Τμήμα Γεωπονίας του Πανεπιστημίου Πελοποννήσου, υπό την αιγίδα της International Society for Horticultural Science (ISHS), Division Ornamental Plants και Working Group New Ornamentals.
Επιστήμονες και επαγγελματίες από την Ελλάδα και το εξωτερικό αντάλλαξαν γνώσεις και εμπειρίες για τα νέα καλλωπιστικά είδη, τη βιώσιμη παραγωγή, την προσαρμογή στην κλιματική αλλαγή και τη χρήση φυτών σε οικολογικές και αστικές εφαρμογές.
Η διοργάνωση ανέδειξε την πρωτοποριακή συμβολή του Τμήματος Γεωπονίας στην έρευνα και την καινοτομία, ενισχύοντας τη διεθνή παρουσία του Πανεπιστημίου Πελοποννήσου στον επιστημονικό χώρο.

Great success for the X International Symposium on New Ornamental Crops in Kalamata!
From October 13 to 16, 2025, the Department of Agriculture of the University of the Peloponnese hosted the X International Symposium on New Ornamental Crops, under the auspices of the International Society for Horticultural Science (ISHS), Division Ornamental Plants and Working Group New Ornamentals.
The symposium brought together scientists and professionals from Greece and abroad to exchange ideas and insights on new ornamental species, sustainable production, climate change adaptation, and the use of plants in ecological and urban landscapes.
We sincerely thank all participants, sponsors, and everyone who contributed to the success of the Symposium.
